Missions Reference

Missions are the actions you perform with your fleet. Each mission type serves a different purpose, from attacking enemies to colonizing new worlds. Understanding when and how to use each mission is key to mastering the game.

Combat Missions

Combat missions involve engaging enemy forces. Whether it is a solo attack, coordinated ACS assault, or missile strike, these missions are how you wage war and raid other players for resources.

Mission Requirements Valid Targets
Attack Any combat ship Enemy planets and moons
ACS Attack Combat ships + alliance/buddy Enemy planets and moons
Missile Attack (MIP) Missile Silo + Interplanetary Missiles Enemy planets within range
Moon Destroy Death Stars Enemy moons

Send combat ships to attack an enemy planet or moon. If you win, you steal up to 50% of their available resources (limited by your cargo capacity). The battle follows the OPBE combat engine with up to 6 rounds. Debris from destroyed ships can be recycled. This is the primary way to gain resources through force.

A coordinated group attack where multiple players send fleets to arrive at the same target simultaneously. All attacking fleets fight together as one side. Loot is distributed proportionally based on cargo capacity. Requires alliance membership or buddy status. The most powerful offensive option against well-defended targets.

Launch Interplanetary Missiles from your Missile Silo at an enemy planet. The missiles target specific defense structures based on your selection. Enemy Interceptor Missiles can destroy incoming MIPs on a 1:1 ratio. Range depends on your Impulse Drive level. No fleet is sent; missiles are consumed.

Send Death Stars to attempt destroying an enemy moon. Success chance depends on your fleet size versus the moon size. If successful, the moon and all its buildings are permanently destroyed. If it fails, your Death Stars may be destroyed instead. High-risk, high-reward mission.

Logistics Missions

Logistics missions move resources and ships without combat. Transport delivers resources to any planet, Deploy permanently stations your fleet at another of your planets, and Recycle collects debris from destroyed ships.

Mission Requirements Valid Targets
Transport Any ship with cargo capacity Any planet or moon
Deploy Any ship Your own planets and moons
Recycle Recyclers Debris fields

Send resources to any planet, including your own planets, alliance members, or even enemies. The fleet delivers the resources and automatically returns home. No combat occurs. Use for supplying your colonies, trading with allies, or moving resources before going offline.

Permanently station your fleet at another of YOUR planets or moons. The fleet transfers to the destination and stays there, becoming the garrison of that planet. Resources can be sent along. Only works on your own planets. Essential for repositioning your fleet to a new main planet.

Send Recyclers to a debris field to collect Titanium and Graphene from destroyed ships. Debris is created when ships are destroyed in battle (30% of the metal and crystal cost). Each Recycler can carry 20,000 units. Arrive quickly after a battle before other players recycle your debris.

Intelligence Missions

Intelligence missions gather information about enemy planets. Espionage is one of the most important missions in the game, as knowing what an enemy has determines whether an attack is profitable.

Send Spy Probes to gather intelligence on an enemy planet. The report reveals resources, fleet, buildings, research, and defenses depending on your Espionage Tech level versus theirs. If the difference is too small, the probes may be detected and destroyed. Always spy before attacking.

Important!
Always spy before attacking. A blind attack wastes fuel and risks losing ships to unknown defenses. Send 3-5 probes for reliable information.

Expansion & Exploration

These missions expand your empire and explore the unknown. Colonization creates new planets, while Expeditions send fleets into uncharted space for random rewards including resources, ships, and Dark Matter.

Send a Colony Ship to an empty planet slot to establish a new colony. The Colony Ship is consumed in the process. The new planet gets random fields (building slots) based on the position in the solar system. Positions 4-6 typically give the most fields. Requires sufficient Astrophysics level.

Send a fleet to position 16 in any solar system to explore uncharted space. The fleet stays for a set duration and may find: resources, ships, Dark Matter, pirates, aliens, or nothing. Larger fleets find more resources. Pathfinder ships are particularly effective. Maximum simultaneous expeditions depends on Astrophysics level.

Pro Tip
Expeditions are free resources. Send as many simultaneous expeditions as your Astrophysics allows. Use Pathfinders for the best results.

Fleet States

Every fleet mission goes through defined states. Understanding these states helps you time your attacks and plan fleet-saves.

  • OUTWARD (0) — Fleet is traveling to the target. Can be recalled during this phase.
  • HOLD (2) — Fleet is stationed at the target (Deploy, Expedition). Duration varies by mission.
  • RETURN (1) — Fleet is traveling back to origin. Cannot be recalled or intercepted.
Strategy Tip
Timing matters in fleet missions. Use the game speed and distance calculators to plan arrival times. Coordinate ACS attacks for simultaneous arrival.
